Holy Week 2026 in the Parish Unit of Cee brings together a religious programme taking place from March 29 to April 5 in different locations across the municipality and surrounding area. Organised by the Parish Unit of Cee, this celebration includes liturgical events and processions in Ameixenda, Brens, Buxantes, Cee, Corcubión, Redonda and Toba, keeping alive a deeply rooted tradition during these special days.
The programme begins with Palm Sunday in Cee and continues throughout the week with confessions, the Lord’s Supper, the Holy Hour, the night procession of Jesus of Nazareth, the celebration of the Passion of the Lord, the un-nailing ceremony, the Holy Burial procession and the Easter Vigil. On Easter Sunday, services will take place in several parishes within the Parish Unit.
Holy Week in the Parish Unit of Cee is a meaningful opportunity to experience one of the most important celebrations in the religious calendar of Costa da Morte, in an atmosphere of reflection, tradition and community participation. A programme closely linked to the identity of these parishes and to the most solemn side of these days.
