Holy Week 2026 in Corme will once again bring together tradition, reflection and deep devotion in one of the town’s most meaningful religious celebrations. From March 27 to April 5, Corme will host a programme of liturgical services and processions that form part of its local identity, combining music, solemnity and community participation during one of the most special periods of the year.
The programme for Holy Week 2026 in Corme will begin on March 27 with Friday of Sorrows, including a mass sung by the Brisas do Mar de Corme Choir in honour of the Virgin of Sorrows, followed by a procession with the images of Our Lady of Sorrows and the Pietà, accompanied by penitents, mantillas, members of the brotherhood and the Eduardo Pondal Band of Corme. On March 29, Palm Sunday will be celebrated with a solemn mass and the blessing of palms. On April 2, Holy Thursday, there will be the celebration of the Lord’s Supper and the representation of the Holy Oils. On April 3, Good Friday, the Passion of the Lord will be commemorated, followed by a procession featuring scenes performed by local residents, accompanied by the Cee Band.
Holy Week 2026 in Corme will continue on April 4 with the Easter Vigil Saturday, including a mass sung by the Brisas do Mar de Corme Choir, and will conclude on April 5 with Easter Sunday and the Easter mass. In addition, the septenary of the Virgin of Sorrows will begin on Friday, March 20, for the intention of the brotherhood “Cristo de la Buena Muerte”. The programme is organised by the Irmandade Virxe das Dores, with the collaboration of Ponteceso Town Council, the Eduardo Pondal Neighbours’ Association of Corme, Local Commerce and Hospitality and the Cultural Network of the Provincial Council of A Coruña.
