The Zas Town Council invites residents and visitors to explore “The Hidden Life of the River” on a guided walk along the Baio riverside path to the municipal oak grove. This initiative showcases the rich biodiversity of the Porto River, highlights the native species along its banks, and explains the key trees and plants of the ecosystem, underlining the importance of their conservation.
The tour runs every Tuesday and Thursday throughout the summer, departing at 12:00 PM from Praza Jorge Mira Pérez and lasting approximately 60 minutes. Registration is mandatory and can be completed by selecting the preferred date via the form at https://bit.ly/PaseoFluvial25 or by calling +34 981 71 80 56.
“With this activity, the Zas Town Council reaffirms its commitment to environmental education and to valuing the municipality’s natural spaces, offering sustainable, high-quality leisure options during the summer months while highlighting one of the best-preserved environments on the Costa da Morte,” states Mayor Manuel Muíño.
