On Sunday, June 23rd, the beach of Area da Vila will host the Lumarea 2025 in Camariñas, one of the largest and most spectacular bonfire celebrations in all of Galicia. Coinciding with the traditional festival of San Juan, this event has become a highlight of the Costa da Morte summer for its vibrant atmosphere, cultural richness, and coastal charm.
Festivities begin at 5:00 p.m. with free water inflatables for children. At 7:00 p.m., a big free sardine barbecue with cachelos and cornbread will be served. At 8:00 p.m., two of Galicia’s best charanga bands — Louband and Mekánika Rolling Band — will face off in a festive musical duel. At midnight, the main bonfire will be lit with an impressive pyrotechnic show, followed by a spectacular firecracker display and live music from the orchestra París de Noia and CDC mobile disco.
The Lumarea 2025 in Camariñas is a must-see experience combining tradition, music, local food, and unforgettable moments by the sea — a perfect way to celebrate the most magical night of the year in the heart of Costa da Morte.
