The Carnota Municipal Music School is opening registration for traditional Galician dance classes, with separate groups for adults and younger participants. The sessions are designed for anyone who wants to learn and enjoy some of Galicia’s best-known social dances in a welcoming local setting.
Registration runs from 31 August to 14 September 2026 through the Culture Department of Carnota Council. The classes will be taught by Inés and will cover dances such as the muiñeira, xota and pasodoble.
A minimum of 10 participants is required to form each group. The monthly fee will depend on the final number of participants, with a maximum cost of €15 per month.
Classes take place at the Carnota Municipal Music School in O Viso – San Mamede. For further information, call 647 459 445.
These classes are not only about learning steps and routines. They offer a hands-on way to connect with Galician popular culture and keep a living dance tradition moving from one generation to the next.
