The Summer Programme 2026 in Carnota brings together cultural, sporting, tourism and festive activities from June to September. The calendar includes shows for children and families, theatre, open-air cinema, guided routes, music, local festivals, food events and activities connected with the municipality’s heritage and natural landscape.

The programme will begin on 17 June with the ESMU Music Festival at the Auditorio do Viso and will continue throughout July with shows such as “Con lingua propia” by Peter Punk Pallaso, “As máis molonas de Pakolas”, “A volta máxica ao mundo” by Maga Gema and “Sherezade, Aladino e os tres beduínos” by Teatro dos Ghazafelhos. There will also be guided routes around Lira, A Moa and the As Laxiñas petroglyphs, outdoor cinema, seafood tastings and local celebrations in Caldebarcos.

August will bring further events such as the Carreira a Pé de Lira, MaméVisión, outdoor cinema, evening guided routes, the San Mamede festivities, the Vilar de Carnota Lyric Gala, the Festa do Mar in Lira, theatre at the Hórreo de Lira, storytelling and the festivals of Quilmas and Mallou. The programme will conclude on 27 September with the Carreira das Areas. Registration for guided routes and other activities requiring prior booking must be completed through turismocarnota.com or the platforms indicated by the organisers.

  • 14 July: “As máis molonas de Pakolas ilustradas por Laura Romero” at O Campo do Viso at 12:00 noon.
  • 15 July: guided route to A Moa at 9:30 a.m.
  • 17 July: festivities in Caldebarcos.
  • 21 July: “A volta máxica ao mundo” by Maga Gema at O Campo do Viso at 12:00 noon.
  • 22 July: evening guided route to the As Laxiñas petroglyph at 9:30 p.m.
  • 23 July: outdoor screening of “Pérez 2” at Praza da Solaina in O Pindo at 10:00 p.m.
  • 24 July: sardine barbecue in Caldebarcos with the O Rumbo de Sardiñeiro street band.
  • 25 July: seafood tasting in Portocubelo at 1:00 p.m.
  • 28 July: “Karaoke deportivo dos Bolechas” at O Campo do Viso at 12:00 noon.
  • 29 July: audio-guided route around O Pindo at 11:00 a.m. and family theatre at the Hórreo de Carnota at 9:00 p.m.
  • 1 August: Carreira a Pé de Lira, sardine barbecue and MaméVisión.
  • 4 August: outdoor screening of “Kung Fu Panda 4” at O Campo do Viso at 10:00 p.m.
  • 5 August: evening route to the Hórreo de Carnota and the Laxe Escrita petroglyph at 9:30 p.m.
  • 6, 7 and 8 August: San Mamede festivities.
  • 7 August: Lyric Gala in Vilar de Carnota.
  • 8 August: seafood tasting in Portocubelo and sardine barbecue and festivities in O Pindo.
  • 8, 9 and 10 August: festivities in O Pindo.
  • 11 August: “Petróglifos” by Carmen Domech at O Campo do Viso at 12:00 noon.
  • 12 August: guided route to A Moa at 9:30 a.m.
  • 13 August: “A libraría máxica” by Inventi Teatro in Lariño at 9:00 p.m.
  • 15 August: Festa do Mar in Lira.
  • 18 August: “O lobo feliz” by Miguel Guido at O Campo do Viso at 12:00 noon.
  • 19 August: guided route around Lira at 9:30 a.m.
  • 20 August: “Apaga o candil” by Contraproducións at the Hórreo de Lira at 9:00 p.m.
  • 21 and 22 August: Quilmas festivities.
  • 21 August: Festa da Cachelada de Mallou and “O coelliño branco” at 6:30 p.m.
  • 25 August: “Animais artistas e outras cousiñas” by Iván Davila at O Campo do Viso at 12:00 noon.
  • 26 August: audio-guided route around O Pindo at 11:00 a.m.
  • 29 August: Festórreo in Lira.
  • 27 September: Carreira das Areas.
