The Laxe Town Council has planned an exciting cultural program for July and August, designed for audiences of all ages. From music and theatre to magic, open-air cinema, literature, and exhibitions, events will take place in some of Laxe’s most emblematic venues.
Starting on July 1st, the Municipal Library will host a LEGO Exhibition, a creative showcase for children and imaginative builders alike. The lineup then kicks off with urban music by Ceiba de Rimas, followed on subsequent weekends by theatre performances and puppet shows in various parishes. Photography enthusiasts can enjoy “Do Mar de Ardora” by Ana García at the Museo do Mar.
In August, highlights include the 12th Pirate Market, transforming Praza Ramón Juega with color and fantasy in the month’s first days. Magic acts and open-air cinema return under the stars, while musical performances and the traditional Poetic Sunset—this 19th edition featuring Iria Estévez at Praia dos Cristais—add poetic flair. The literary program continues with the book launch of Cuando el amor mató la rutina by Carmen Villavilla at the Museo do Mar, offering space for reflection and the written word.
To help you plan, an infographic detailing dates, times, and locations is available on the Town Council’s website. Organized by the Department of Commerce, Hospitality, Tourism & Culture of Laxe in collaboration with the Deputación da Coruña’s Cultural Network, this summer agenda is the perfect opportunity to discover—or rediscover—Laxe through a vibrant, participatory, and family-friendly cultural lens.
