From September 5 to 7, 2025, Baio will celebrate the Santa María Festivities, one of the most anticipated events in the Costa da Morte’s festive calendar. For three days, music, tradition, and joy will fill the streets with activities for locals and visitors alike.
On Friday the 5th, after the mass in honor of the Virgin of Carmen and a parade with the bagpipers of A.C. Adro, there will be a midday session with Grupo Aché and an open-air evening dance featuring Grupo Aché and Orquestra Metrópolis. On Saturday the 6th, the Fornelos procession and the mass in honor of San Antonio and San Roque will be followed by a midday session with Grupo La Tremenda and a spectacular evening dance with La Tremenda and Disco Móbil Impacto with Drenix & Korme.
Sunday the 7th will be the big day with mass in honor of Santa María, a parade with the bagpipers of A.C. Adro, and a big midday session with Trío Mar Dávila. The festivities will close with Disco Móbil Impacto and DJ Berludez, ending the Santa María de Baio 2025 Festivities on a high note.
