San Cristovo Festivities 2026 in Carnés

The San Cristovo Festivities 2026 in Carnés, in the municipality of Vimianzo, will take place from 9 to 12 July with a full programme of tradition, music, popular gastronomy and major evening celebrations. The festivities will begin on Thursday, 9 July with the Faguía de San Cristovo, a Festival of Tourist Interest, including a sung mass at 7:00 p.m., the procession of San Cristovo á Cerca accompanied by the bagpipe group Trubisquiñas, traditional firecrackers and, from 8:00 p.m., a callos tasting with music by Los Támega, Tinceinho, Martín Díaz and La Mega CDC. The day will also feature a concert by Ráfaga.

On Friday, 10 July, the main day in honour of San Cristovo, masses will be held every hour from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.. At 1:30 p.m., there will be a solemn mass and procession, with street music and procession accompaniment by Charanga Noroeste, as well as a large firecracker display. The vermouth session will feature Nueva Fuerza, and the music programme will include a concert by Grupo Extra, together with Martín Díaz, Nueva Fuerza and La Mega CDC.

On Saturday, 11 July, the celebration in honour of San Benito will include mass at 11:00 a.m. and a solemn mass with procession at 1:00 p.m., accompanied by the bagpipe group Revoltixo, followed by traditional firecrackers. The vermouth session will feature Laura Añón, Compota y Sevilla, and the evening party will include El Combo Dominicano, Mike Morato, Martín Díaz and La Mega CDC. On Sunday, 12 July, the celebration in honour of the Virxe do Carmen will include mass at 11:00 a.m., solemn mass and procession at 1:00 p.m. accompanied by Revoltixo, a firecracker display, a large vermouth session with Solara DJ, Tinceinho and MP, and an evening party with Solara DJ and Gran Parada.
