The presentation of Toponimia de Carnota, a work by Alfonso Blanco Quintela, will take place on Saturday, 11 April at 12:00 pm at the Centro Cultural do Viso, in San Mamede, Carnota. This cultural event offers a valuable opportunity to explore the identity, memory and linguistic richness of a territory whose place names preserve an essential part of its history.
Speakers at the event will include Juan Manuel Saborido Rama, Mayor of Carnota; Henrique Monteagudo, President of the Real Academia Galega; Ana Boullón, from the Asociación Galega de Onomástica; and Alfonso Blanco Quintela himself, author of the book. The session will help attendees better understand the value of place names and their importance as a living cultural heritage.
The presentation of Toponimia de Carnota will have free admission until full capacity is reached. It will be an excellent occasion to discover a publication closely linked to the local area and to learn more about the place names of Carnota through leading voices from the institutional, academic and research fields.
