On Sunday, August 17, Malpica will host a magical night for the Perseids 2025, one of the most anticipated astronomical events of the year. The evening will begin at 9:00 p.m. at the Civic Center with a theoretical talk to learn all about the “shooting star shower” and how to identify constellations.
At 9:45 p.m., there will be a group stargazing outing to watch the Perseids at their peak. Participants are advised to bring suitable footwear, a headlamp, a mat, warm clothing, and drinks to enjoy the experience comfortably.
Organized by A.C.D. Salitre with the collaboration of the Malpica Town Council, this event offers a unique opportunity to experience the magic of the night sky over the Costa da Morte.
