Music from Cape Verde meets community solidarity in Cee, on Galicia’s Costa da Morte. On Saturday 31 October 2026, from 6:00 pm, the Casa da Cultura de Cee will host the first anniversary of Nanian Internacional España, bringing people together through music, cultural exchange and support for projects in Guinea-Bissau.
The celebration features a special performance by Batuco Tabanca, a group of Cape Verdean women based in Burela, Galicia. Through singing and percussion, they share the energy of batuco and a musical heritage rooted in collective memory and identity. Their performance offers a meaningful connection between Cape Verde and the local community.
Nanian Internacional España supports cooperation projects in education, healthcare, agriculture and social development, building connections between Galicia and Guinea-Bissau. The event will also highlight its Solidarity Container campaign, helping cover the shipping of donated medical and educational supplies.
