On October 22nd, 2025, the Casa do Mar in Lira will host a new edition of the Temporada de Mar project, a program aimed at promoting and preserving the rich maritime heritage and culture of Galicia’s Costa da Morte.
From 5:00 to 8:30 p.m., the event will feature talks by experts and storytellers such as Mariña Lestón, actress and author of Cartografía dun naufraxio; Manuel Lara, president of Buxa, the Galician Association for Industrial Heritage; and Santiago Llovio, a renowned author specializing in maritime history.
The day will conclude with a visit to Pepe do Cuco’s fishing hut, an authentic symbol of Lira’s deep connection with the sea. A must-attend event for anyone passionate about Galicia’s coastal culture and its enduring relationship with the ocean.
