The Festas do Mar in Malpica de Bergantiños run from August 21 to 24 and offer something for everyone. Thursday kicks off with summer readings and songs by Nerea Gómez, Icía, and Xosé Manuel Varela, plus Marta Villar’s novel presentation of Detective Ferruchi. On Friday, enjoy a parade, boat and sandcastle contests, circus performances, and an evening concert by Corazón Oxidado with DJ Ariax.
Saturday features a torchlight procession, mixed beach football, a tourist train, children’s workshops, and a night party with La Bamba and DJ Jacob Ostos.
Sunday closes the festival with parades, giant chess, a sung Mass honoring the Virgin of Carmen, a maritime procession, drumming groups, a final performance by Malandros, and a spectacular fireworks display. Celebrate the sea, culture, and tradition in Bergantiños!
