Holy Week in Laxe 2026

Holy Week in Laxe 2026 arrives with a cultural programme designed to enrich these special days through art, history, science and music. From March 27 to April 5, the town offers a varied schedule of activities aimed both at local residents and at visitors who choose Laxe during this time of year.

This Holy Week in Laxe 2026 programme brings together exhibitions, book presentations, talks and concerts, along with several open days at the Museo do Mar. It is an appealing way to experience Laxe from a cultural perspective as well, making the most of the unique atmosphere that fills the town during these dates.

Organised by the Concello de Laxe through the Department of Commerce, Hospitality, Tourism and Culture.

• Friday, March 27: opening of the painting exhibition by Mercedes Ramos (art with stones), on display from 27/03/2026 to 05/04/2026.
• Saturday, March 28: open days at the Museo do Mar de Laxe and, at 6:00 pm, presentation of the book “A Semana Santa en Laxe: 288 anos de devoción popular”, by Diego Piay Augusto.
• Sunday, March 29: at 6:00 pm, talk about the solar eclipse of August 12, 2026, by Jorge Mira Pérez, physicist and researcher.
• Monday, March 30: at 6:00 pm, lecture “Os fomentadores cataláns en Laxe: a familia Domenech”, given by Luis Gidás, History teacher.
• Tuesday, March 31: at 6:00 pm, talk “O legado científico do xeólogo Isidro Parga Pondal”, by Augusto Pérez Alberti, researcher and Professor of Physical Geography at the University of Santiago from 1999 to 2018.
• Wednesday, April 1: at 6:00 pm, piano concert by Cristián Leggiero.
• Saturday, April 4: open days at the Museo do Mar de Laxe.

From Saturday, March 28 to Saturday, April 4, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm and from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
