The Corpus Christi 2026 Festival in Muxía will take place on Saturday, 6 June, with a full day of tradition, music and festive atmosphere. The programme combines the religious events linked to this celebration with street music, a vermouth session, popular singing and an evening party.
The morning will begin with the traditional firecracker launch and continue at 10:30 a.m. with a street parade featuring Xaramiños do Corpiño and Banda O Rumbo. At 12:00 noon, mass will be held in the Church of Santa María, sung by the Coral Virxe da Barca. Afterwards, there will be a procession, the blessing at the altars and a firecracker display by Pirotecnia Resúa.
The festival is organised by the Corpus Committee, with the collaboration of the Concello de Muxía. A special opportunity to experience Corpus Christi in Muxía through tradition, music and the welcoming spirit of popular celebrations on the Costa da Morte.
