The Christmas 2025 programme in Zas offers a full festive schedule with storytelling, theatre, live music, a craft market and magical visits from Santa Claus, the Apalpador and the Three Wise Men. Throughout December and early January, Baio, Zas, Carreira and Torres do Allo host events for all ages.

With creative workshops, healthy Christmas cooking sessions and the free “Campamento Zas Nadal” to support local families, the Christmas 2025 programme in Zas is designed to enjoy an authentic, community-focused Christmas in the heart of Costa da Morte.

  • 13 December – Torres do Allo: 4:00 pm Christmas bauble workshop (Vancouver-style); 5:30 pm storytelling show “Un saco de contos” with Ángeles Goás.
  • 15 December – Baio Reading Agency: 6:00 pm “Os Ratiños de Lonxedetodo. O que non sabías do Nadal”, storytelling for children.
  • 16 December – Zas Municipal Library: 6:30 pm “Os Ratiños de Lonxedetodo. O que non sabías do Nadal”, storytelling for children.
  • 17 December – Baio Auditorium: 10:30 am Culturactiva Producións, “Charlatán Rodríguez”, school performances with pupils from CPI de Zas (12:00 pm) and CEIP Labarta Pose (12:30 pm).
  • 18 December – E.I. A Galiña Azul de Zas: 10:30 am Marisa Irimia, “Contos Miudiños”, storytelling for babies.
  • 18 December – Zas Social and Cultural Centre: 6:00 pm Escola de Música Moderna, “Festival de Nadal”.
  • 20 & 21 December – Praza Jorge Mira: Christmas Craft Market. Saturday 20, from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm, with oral storytelling by Celso Sanmartín at 11:30 am. Sunday 21, from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, with “O Tren da Unha” vermouth session at 1:00 pm, magic show “O Mago Paco” at 5:30 pm and Santa Claus visit at 6:00 pm.
  • 21 December – Zas Social and Cultural Centre: 12:00 pm magic show “O Mago Paco”; 1:00 pm Santa Claus visit.
  • 27 December – Carreira & Baio: 4:00 pm welcome to the Apalpador in Carreira, with nature workshops, a guided tour of the village and traditional music by Gaiteiros de Churía; 10:30 pm pre–New Year’s Eve party in Baio (Praza Jorge Mira) with Los Jinetes del Trópico and Mal Juicio.
  • 4 & 5 January: The Three Wise Men tour the whole municipality.
  • 5 January – Baio & Zas: 6:00 pm Three Wise Men parade through the streets of Baio, royal reception in Praza Jorge Mira, performance by “Peter Punk” and hot chocolate; 6:30 pm Three Wise Men parade through the streets of Zas, royal reception in Praza do Concello, performance by “JACK JOHNSON & JOHN JACKSON” and hot chocolate.
  • 10 January – Zas Auditorium: 8:30 pm Malasombra Teatro, “O proceso”.
  • 24 January – Baio Auditorium: 8:30 pm Teatro De Ste Xeito Producións, “Neura”.
  • Free workshops: Christmas decorations workshop for adults, 13 and 20 December at 4:00 pm in the Zas Social and Cultural Centre.
  • Healthy cooking “Doces de Nadal”: Christmas sweets cooking workshop for children, 20 and 27 December at 12:00 pm in the Zas Social and Cultural Centre.
  • “Campamento Zas Nadal”: Free Christmas camp for children, 22–26 December from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm in the Zas Social and Cultural Centre, and 29 December–2 January in the Baio Social and Cultural Centre.
