Recognition ceremony for Cee sports clubs 2025-2026

The recognition ceremony for Cee sports clubs for the 2025-2026 season will take place on Tuesday 28 July 2026 at 9:00 pm at the Auditorio Baldomero Cores in the Casa da Cultura de Cee.

Cee Town Council will honour 190 athletes and seven local clubs for their achievements during the season. The ceremony will be chaired by the mayor, Margot Lamela Louzán, and will also be attended by the councillor for Sports, Alfonso Canosa.

Clubs and athletes receiving recognition

• Unión Club Cee, 79 athletes: the under-10 A team, runners-up in the Copa da Costa; the under-14 A team, Copa da Costa champions; the senior women’s team, Copa da Costa runners-up; and the senior men’s team, promoted to the second tier of the Liga da Costa.
• ACB Costa da Morte, 16 athletes: the under-14 team, semi-finalists in the Copa Coruña.
• Club Arte e Movemento, 19 athletes: Spanish championship and runner-up titles in several sports dance disciplines.
• Club Cee Deportes de Contacto, 27 athletes: gold, silver and bronze medals in several combat disciplines in the Fite Galicia Taekwon-Do ITF League.
• Asociación Deportiva Olimpia, 20 athletes: medals in provincial and regional youth championships and in the Deputación da Coruña and Correndo pola Costa da Morte road-race circuits. Elian López Iglesias, Galician 600-metre record holder at the Valladolid Grand Prix with the sixth-best mark in Spanish history, and Xiana Lago Andrade, Galician under-23 and senior shot put champion, Galician under-23 discus champion and a medallist and finalist at Spanish championships, will also be recognised.
• Dafit Centro de Entrenamiento Cee, 3 athletes: silver and bronze medals at the Spanish kickboxing championships in the cadet and masters categories.
• Taekwondo Juan Cee, 25 athletes: medals at provincial and regional championships.
