From July 31 to August 2, the parish of Carantoña in Vimianzo hosts the traditional Festas in honor of the Virgen del Carmen, one of the most vibrant summer events in Costa da Morte. The festivities kick off on Thursday with a popular barbecue, children’s inflatables, and a lively open-air concert featuring the band Gran Parada and DJ Rokiño.
On Friday, August 1, after the solemn mass at 1:00 p.m., the fun continues with a midday session by Alabama, performances by O Revoltixo de Carantoña, and a night party with Alabama and Mega CDC. Saturday brings traditional dance with Airiños do Río Grande, followed by the performances of Fussión and the renowned Galician orchestra Panorama.
A large tent will be available to ensure comfort for attendees. Carantoña becomes the perfect place to enjoy live music, local culture, and Galician tradition this summer.
