Zas Town Council will kick off the 2025 Christmas season with the traditional Brandomil Nativity Scene lighting 2025 in Zas, one of the most heartfelt events of the year. This Saturday, 6 December 2025, from 7:30 p.m. onwards, the parish of Brandomil will be filled with light and festive atmosphere during a celebration that will feature a welcome speech by mayor Manuel Muíño, a shared hot chocolate and live musical entertainment for neighbours and visitors alike.
In recent years, the Brandomil Nativity Scene has become a key Christmas attraction in Zas, thanks to the dedication of local residents who design, decorate and assemble this special space. What once started as a small initiative has grown into a truly community-driven project, involving the whole parish and turning Brandomil into a must-visit spot during the festive season.
Mayor Manuel Muíño describes the Nativity scene as “a source of pride for our municipality and a clear example of the commitment of our community”, underlining that this lighting event is much more than a Christmas activity: it is a genuine community celebration, a meeting point for different generations and a living expression of Zas’ identity. The Christmas programme will go on with the official switching-on of the festive lights across the municipality on 12 December, marking another highlight of this special time of the year.
