The Concello de Malpica de Bergantiños presents the 16th Galician Festival on August 15–16, 2025, at the Port area (Travelift zone). This free festival showcases top Galician folk music, pandeireteira ensembles and innovative fusions against the stunning backdrop of the Costa da Morte.
Highlights on Friday the 15th include performances by Cantareiras ACD Carcaxía (9:30 PM), Cantareiras AC Malante (10:00 PM), acclaimed Xabier Díaz & Adufeiras do Salitre (10:30 PM), and the avant-garde group Alana (12:15 AM). On Saturday the 16th, enjoy Cantareiras AC Raiganas (10:00 PM), the duo Do Rivés (10:30 PM), Mercedes Peón’s Ingrávida show (11:00 PM) and close the night with Tanto Nos Ten (12:15 AM).
Organized by the Concello de Malpica de Bergantiños in collaboration with the Xunta de Galicia, the Deputación da Coruña and Rede Cultural 2025, the Galician Festival is a must-attend event for lovers of folk culture and Galician heritage.
