Best Plans for the Saint John’s Eve on the Costa da Morte
Vimianzo
If there is a town in the Costa da Morte where summer is synonymous with fire, that is Vimianzo. In order to warm up the engines for the Asalto ao Castelo de 2024, different parishes of the capital of Soneira are organising festivities for Saint John. Some of them are the following:
Saint John’s Eve in Vilaseco: on Friday 21st from 21:30, sardinada, churrasco, corn bread and drink for 10 euros. A night enlivened by the Duo Élite and Tincinho.
Saint John’s Eve in Treos: in this case, the party takes place the following week, on the 28th from 20:00. Food, drink and lots of music, with cachela and sardines from 10 pm. The last day to sign up is the 26th of June. More information on the festival committee’s social networks (@festastreos on Instagram).
Carballo
Another town council that dedicates a large part of the month of June to activities related to this festivity is Carballo. In this case, there will be all kinds of cultural activities from Wednesday, with the proclamation of Saint John and a street party from Friday. Sunday will be the culmination with the great Cachela de Saint John, with sardinada and popular churrascada. Fisterra
In the end of the world, the summer is also welcomed. In Fisterra, a sardinada without bonfire is planned in the Sardiñeiro beach. The Saint John’s Eve of Sardiñeiro may not have fire, but it has a lot of rhythm and party. On Saturday 22nd there will be the Sardiñeiro Fest from 10 pm with lots of music.
On the night of the 23rd will be the big free sardinada on the beach of Sardiñeiro by the orchestra Alabama. A plan that, no matter how you look at it, looks good.
Laxe
In Laxe they are celebrating a fantastic Summer Welcome Party in the Ramón Juega square. The celebration will begin at 20:00 with a show of humour and circus with fire and will continue from 21:00 with the music of Drew Korme to give rhythm to this magical night, which will culminate with fireworks and foam party from approximately 23:00.
Camariñas
It is the turn of one of the most spectacular bonfire in Galicia. If you want to experience an unforgettable fire show, the beach of Area de la Villa de Camariñas is your option with its traditional LumArea. The party starts on Saturday with a line-up full of DJs.
On Sunday, from 18:00 hours, the party will start with the free sardinada with cachelos and corn bread. From 19:00 the party starts with different charanga performances until 00:00, when the biggest bonfire of Galicia and the most powerful fireworks in Galicia will be lit. The end of the party will be in charge of the Macrodisco Impacto, with Dj Rokiño and Dj Bermúdez.
Corcubión
In Corcubion there will also be a party on June 23rd to welcome the summer in the Campo do Rollo. There will be sardines, wine, lemonade and a puppet show. Also queimada and bonfires to jump and scare away the “meigas”. The celebration will start at 20:30 and will last until the end of the night.
Ponteceso
The night of the 23rd of June will also be a special night in Corme, with a big bonfire that will be lit in Arnela beach. This event will be special, because it will be carried out by the C.D. Flechas por un Tubo of archery.
