Fisterra Lighthouse hosts a concert by Cimarrón on Sunday 30 August. The project brings together Benxamín Vázquez and Juan Carlos San Martín around a shared love of American roots music and country. The performance is conceived as a small tribute to everyone who finishes the Camino at this Atlantic edge, shortly before sunset.
Cimarrón grew out of two parallel musical careers and a deep admiration for the North American song tradition. Their repertoire revisits music associated with artists such as John Prine, John Fogerty, Johnny Cash and Tom Waits, in an intimate format where melody, storytelling and the personality of each song are central.
A live music experience closely tied to the landscape and symbolism of the end of the Camino in Fisterra, combining Atlantic views with a roots-driven repertoire as the day moves towards sunset.
