On Sunday, 9 August 2026 at 9:00 pm, the Auditorio Baldomero Cores in Cee hosts the prize-giving ceremony of the 1st Batallón Literario da Costa da Morte Literary Competition.
The event will be hosted by Yolanda Castaño and will include speeches by Margot Lamela Louzán, Mayor of Cee; Sol Agra Tuñas, provincial deputy for Language, Equality and Civil Rights at the Deputación da Coruña; and Valentín García Gómez, Secretary-General for Language of the Xunta de Galicia.
There will be a musical performance by Fernando Fraga and Martín Castiñeira, an accordion and clarinet duo, followed by a screening of O Batallón 30 anos despois. Jury member Modesto Fraga will also take part.
The Mayor of Cee will present the award to Xosé Luís Mosquera Camba, winner of the 1st “Batallón Literario da Costa da Morte” Poetry Competition. A second musical performance by Fernando Fraga and Néstor Fidalgo will follow, before the closing remarks by Margot Lamela Louzán.
