Opera in Carnota

Opera in Carnota will take place from 5 to 7 August, bringing opera and zarzuela to several venues across the municipality.

The programme includes a talk, a family show, a musical route through four scenic locations and a major closing event featuring professional performers.

Programme for Opera in Carnota

• Wednesday 5 August: at 8:30 pm in the Town Hall meeting room, a talk by Jesús López entitled Zarzuela en Danza – Identity in zarzuela through dance and popular characters. Free event.
• Thursday 6 August: at 12:00 pm in the Lamas de Castelo Sports Hall, Música Ma(go)estra by the company Diabolus in Musica, a free family show. This will be followed by Paseo Píloras maxestuosas, a sensory and musical route through four locations: 1:30 pm at the Hórreo de Carnota, 5:30 pm at the Faro de Lariño, 7:30 pm at Praia Boca do Río and 9:00 pm at Paseo Mar de Lira. Free activities.
• Friday 7 August: at 9:30 pm, a major event at Horta de Ana in Vilar de Carnota, with two hours of opera and zarzuela performed by Mª Luisa Corbacho, Vicenç Esteve, Manel Esteve and Jesús López. Paid event.
