Carantoña, in the municipality of Vimianzo, will celebrate its festivities in honour of Our Lady of Mount Carmel from 30 July to 1 August 2026. The three-day programme will combine religious ceremonies, live music, dancing, local food and activities for children.
On Thursday, 30 July, a large barbecue will begin at 8:30 p.m., with inflatable attractions for children provided by Divir-T. The evening will continue with Orquesta Origen and DJ Save. On Friday, 31 July, a solemn Mass in honour of Our Lady of Mount Carmel will take place at 1:00 p.m., followed by a vermouth session with Grupo Fussion and a performance by the O Revoltixo de Carantoña bagpipe group. The evening programme will feature Tania Veiras y Los Cumbia Pop and Grupo Fussion.
On Saturday, 1 August, a solemn Mass in honour of Our Lady of A Xunqueira will be held at 1:00 p.m. The vermouth session will feature Dúo D’Festa and a performance by the Airiños do Río Grande dance group. The festivities will conclude with Orquesta París de Noia and CDC mobile disco. A covered marquee will be available at the venue.
