The Canduas Festivities 2025 kick off on Saturday, August 23, with a Vermouth Session at 2:00 PM featuring Grupo Ritmo and Dúo Veneguay, followed at 5:00 PM by a free Children’s Park. At 6:00 PM enjoy the Great Mussel Feast—empanadas, mussels, and “angry tigers”—and at 8:00 PM the Illar Bagpipe Band brings traditional music and dance to the village. At 9:00 PM, join the Foliada with Vento de Barra and Os Enxebres de Cabana, then from 11:00 PM dance the night away at the open-air ball with Grupo Ritmo, Disco Móbil Impacto, and DJ Bermúdez.
On Thursday, August 28, the festivities begin with a parade by Charanga Mil9, followed by a 1:00 PM Mass in honor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. At 2:00 PM, another Vermouth Session with Fuego, and after dark the nighttime dance features both Fuego and Unión y Fuerza sharing the stage.
On Friday, August 29, a morning parade with Charanga Santa Compaña leads into a 1:00 PM Mass for Saint Anthony. The 2:00 PM Vermouth Session spotlights Alianza, and the grand closing ball stars Alianza alongside Kubo.
Organized by the Canduas Festivities Commission with support from the Cabana de Bergantiños Town Council and Deputación da Coruña, the Canduas Festivities 2025 promise to be one of the summer’s liveliest celebrations in Cabana de Bergantiños. Don’t miss it!
