On Sathurday, June 14, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the Carballeira de Baio will host an open day for the environmental volunteer initiative “Proxecto Ríos. Join the current!”, organized by ADEGA in collaboration with the Municipality of Zas.
The day will begin with a welcome at Jorge Mira Square, followed by a presentation of the project by ADEGA staff. Afterwards, participants will visit the Río Grande, inspecting water quality and assessing the environmental condition of the riverbanks. The site was chosen for its high biodiversity, good conservation status and accessibility — making it one of the most important natural areas in Costa da Morte.
