On Saturday, September 6th, the Lombáns Football Field, in the parish of Lira (Carnota), will host the VIII Xaquín Formoso Memorial, an event organized by CF Lira to honor a much-loved figure of local sport.
The day will begin at 5:00 pm with a youth match between Mazaricos CF and C.F. Lira, followed at 7:00 pm by the senior clash between C.F. Lira and U.D. Monte Louro. It will also mark the official presentation of CF Lira’s teams for the 25/26 season.
A day of football, emotion, and remembrance that brings together tradition and sporting passion in the heart of Carnota.
