The Apalpador’s Arrival 2025 in Carreira (Zas) is part of the Christmas programme of Zas Town Council and offers a very special afternoon for families to enjoy nature, tradition and festive magic. From 4:00 p.m. onwards, the village of Carreira will host nature discovery workshops and a guided tour of the village, giving children the chance to learn about the rural landscape and the stories linked to this corner of Galicia.
The highlight of the Apalpador’s Arrival 2025 in Carreira will be the welcome to the Apalpador, the traditional Galician Christmas figure who comes down from the mountains bringing affection, good wishes and small symbolic gifts. Music will be provided by the Gaiteiros de Baile Tradicional Churía, rounding off a perfect afternoon to experience Christmas in an authentic way in Zas, surrounded by family and local culture.
