The conference A Date with the Sky with Jorge Mira in Malpica will take place on Sunday 9 August 2026 at 9:00 pm at the Fogar do Pensionista in Malpica de Bergantiños.
Jorge Mira, professor at the USC Faculty of Physics, will explain the key facts about the total solar eclipse on 12 August 2026 and how to observe it safely. The evening will close with poetry by Gema Millán, Lady Poet, and will also include a prize draw and refreshments.
Admission is free, subject to venue capacity.
