The 31st Lira Road Race will take place on Saturday, 1 August 2026 at Mar de Lira, in the municipality of Carnota. The event includes races for different age groups and two main courses measuring 3.5 and 8.5 kilometres. Children’s races begin at 6:30 pm, followed by the 3.5 km event at 7:20 pm and the 8.5 km race at 7:50 pm.
After the competition, the programme continues with grilled sardines and Padrón peppers, a performance by the Os Máquinas brass band and further music. The event combines community running with a festive gathering beside the sea, bringing participants and supporters together in Lira once the races have finished.
Online registration is available through CCNorte until 30 July. Entry costs €3 for categories born in 2010 or later and €8 for participants born in 2009 or earlier.
