CMAT \u2013 Costa da Morte Tourism Association held today, at the Escolas do Xard\u00edn Agra de Caldas in Carballo, the second presentation of the new digital educational unit of the Costa da Morte, a meeting aimed at schools in the northern part of the territory. The event was also attended by institutional representatives and brought to a close the two presentation sessions for this new educational project promoted by the organisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event was opened by the mayor of Carballo, who highlighted the importance of this type of initiative in continuing to strengthen the bond between the territory and new generations, underlining the role of education in fostering knowledge, respect and pride in one\u2019s own surroundings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
CMAT wished to give special thanks for the attendance and involvement of the representatives of the schools that took part both in this presentation and in the one previously held in Corcubi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The association also stated that all schools that were unable to attend the presentations will receive, in the coming days, an information circular with all the documentation and information needed to access and use the educational unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the meetings, many teachers agreed on the interest of having tools of this kind, which make it possible to bring children closer to their own surroundings through learning that is more immediate, contextualised and connected with the students\u2019 reality, while also encouraging project-based work and active participation in the classroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In fact, CMAT highlighted that some of the schools that attended the first presentation in Corcubi\u00f3n had already informed them that they had started using the unit in the classroom, news that the organisation received with particular enthusiasm after seeing how quickly the educational resource had been put into practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
CMAT underlined that this project depends to a large extent on the collaboration and involvement of teaching teams in the region, which is why they especially thanked the teachers for their positive attitude, interest and contributions during both sessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The initiative was carried out under the DP0030 grant from Deputaci\u00f3n da Coru\u00f1a and represents the first step in a broader educational project that CMAT will continue to develop over the coming months with new teaching units linked to the sea, fishing and coastal conservation, thanks to funding from the GALP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The association states that the ultimate goal is for younger generations to gain a better knowledge of the Costa da Morte, value its natural and cultural richness and become the best ambassadors for the territory.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
