Thick walls enclose a single nave with three entrances.<\/p>\n<p>Its Neoclassical fa\u00e7ade retains Baroque window surrounds, and the bell gable was added in 1900. Earlier altarpieces were removed during renovations. Inside, notable features include a large twentieth-century crucifix from the Compostela school and an image of Saint John the Baptist, deeply venerated in this coastal area.<\/p>\n<p>The church remains a familiar landmark in Sardi\u00f1eiro.
