In <strong>1974<\/strong>, the decision was made to build a new church and demolish the previous one, even though restoration was possible, since the original building used high-quality <strong>stone masonry<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The plans for this third temple were drawn up by Carballo architect <strong>Jos\u00e9 Manuel Rey Pichel<\/strong>. The result was not simply a church building, but a <strong>parish complex<\/strong> with several facilities, built in <strong>concrete<\/strong>, with a strong, practical design shaped around parish life and everyday use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even so, the story of the earlier church remains present through meaningful details: the <strong>bells<\/strong>, various devotional <strong>images<\/strong>, and liturgical objects were preserved.
