They rise steeply over the Atlantic and offer a spectacular landscape where the force of the sea and the rock combine to create a wild and dramatic environment, characteristic of this coastal geodestination. <\/p>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><\/ol>\n\n<p>With a considerable height and almost vertical drops into the sea, the cliffs present a fascinating geology, marked by rock formations that have been sculpted by centuries of marine erosion and the strong winds that whip this coast.  <\/p>\n\n<p>This idyllic scene is starred by a small waterfall known as the &#8220;<strong>Mixirica<\/strong>&#8221; or &#8220;<strong>Mexoeira<\/strong>&#8220;, or &#8220;<strong>Mexadoira<\/strong>&#8221; located right at the tip that receives the same name.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Cliffs of Canosa, located in the parish of Lires, are one of the most impressive enclaves on the Costa da Morte.
