The Mestre Mateo Cycle comes to A Laracha turning the cultural facilities of reference of the municipality into cinemas where citizens can enjoy a quality programme of Galician production composed of feature films, documentaries and short films finalists of the reference awards of the Galician audiovisual, the Mestre Mateo, of the year 2024.

The project is promoted by the Galician Audiovisual Academy and will be co-financed by the City Council, the Department of Culture of the Provincial Council of A Coruña and the Xunta de Galicia through Agadic. The main objective is to bring Galician productions to the municipalities where there is no commercial cinema offer, which is why the films that participate in the Mestre Mateo Awards do not usually arrive.

The programme offers a wide and varied range of films aimed at children and, in some cases, at those over 12 years of age. The list of dates, times, venues and screenings is as follows:

• 5 October. Fatum. Casa de la Cultura de A Laracha. 21:00 h.
• 11th October. O corno. Community Centre of Caión. 21:00 h.
• 19th October. Los espacios en blanco (documentary). A Laracha Cultural Centre. 21:00 h.
• 2nd November. Lucy s Journey (documentary). Paiosaco Social and Cultural Centre. 21:00 h.
• 9th November. Real image short films. La Laracha Cultural Centre. 21:00 h.
• 16th November. Matria. Paiosaco Social and Cultural Centre. 21:00 h.
• 23rd November. Chichi and I (documentary). Community Centre of Caión. 21:00 h.
• 24th November. Salta. House of Culture of A Laracha. 17:00 h.
• 30th November. Emoción vida y teatro (documentary). House of Culture of A Laracha. 21:00 h.

Attendance for the public will be free and free of charge until full capacity is reached, with no need to reserve tickets in advance.

Also included in the programme is the screening of animated short films aimed exclusively at the students of IES Agra de Leborís, to be held on a date to be determined.
