XV Mycological Days in Carballo

The Carballo Department of the Environment and the Lumieira Cultural Association are once again collaborating to continue promoting mycological culture with outings to the woods, classification and cataloguing sessions, exhibitions, show cooking and tasting.
Carballo celebrates 15 editions of the mycological days. They begin on Saturday 12th October with a first outing from the Fórum Carballo, at 10.00 a.m., and the subsequent classification of the mushrooms and evaluation of the day, from 16.30 p.m. onwards. This first day will be coordinated by Manuel Pose.
On Saturday 26th there will be Tomás Rodríguez, with whom there will be another mushroom picking trip, with the same format as on the 12th.
Anyone interested in taking part in any of these outings can register by sending their details to a.c.lumieira@gmail.com.
And on Sunday 27th this edition will conclude with a double proposal that will take place around the traditional fair. From 11.00 a.m. onwards, anyone who wishes to do so can go to the stall that will be set up in the City Council Square (in case of rain, in the municipal market) and learn more about mushrooms with the help of mycologist Pablo Cuadrado Prado.
At the same time, inside the municipal market (in the usual area), the chef Chisco Ramos will offer a showcooking with which to learn how to prepare different dishes with mushrooms and which will end with a tasting of pinchos among all those attending (while stocks last).
